About Us

This hilltop is comprised of 64 cottage-owners whose families, in some cases, have owned a cottage since that original purchase year, 1909. The 100+ years of history are embedded in connections with the Eli Slifer Mansion, The Evangelical Community Hospital and the United Methodist Homes (known as Riverwoods today). In addition, there is one central builder involved in this history and this is the strong tie that connects us to the city of Williamsport during its lumbering years. His name is J.C. Winter. Winter was operating under the name of Vallamont Building & Planing Mill Co.and today his home of 1898 has been refurbished and can be seen at 1001 Market Street, Williamsport, PA.  J.C.Winter was the architect and builder of our 1909 historic Tabernacle at Central Oak Heights which was one of the first structures built on the hilltop.
